Turkey Burgers w/Lettuce Wraps

Who says burgers have to be messy? These juicy turkey patties wrapped in crisp lettuce, paired with sweet potato fries, are a fun, lighter twist on a classic favorite. Dinner just got a little happier and a lot tastier!

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 1lb Ground Turkey (makes 4 patties)

  • Lettuce wraps or butter lettuce

  • 1 large tomato sliced

  • 1/4 red onion sliced into thin strips

  • Wickles pickles (or your choice)

  • Grass-fed cheddar cheese (optional)

  • Two Sweet potatoes (makes leftovers)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. Sweet Potato Fries:
    Cut the sweet potatoes into fries and season with salt and cinnamon (or your favorite seasoning).

  3. Turkey Burgers:
    In a bowl, season the ground turkey with your preferred spices and form into two 4-ounce patties.

    Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or olive oil. Cook the patties until done, flipping once.

  4. Assemble:
    On a plate, layer lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Top with a turkey burger and serve alongside the sweet potato fries. Enjoy!
